A renowned orchestra group was rehearsing under a distinguished conductor, for a major recital. Hundreds of artistes, playing various instruments, performed as one.
A renowned orchestra group was rehearsing under a distinguished conductor, for a major recital. Hundreds of artistes, playing various instruments, performed as one.
Halfway through one such session, the piccolo player in the orchestra thought, “What difference does my piccolo make amidst all these instruments? If I stop playing, nobody will even notice it!” So he kept the piccolo close to his mouth, but did not play it.
Within moments, the conductor cried, “Stop! Stop! Where is the piccolo?” The sound of the piccolo was missed among a hundred other instruments — by the most important person of all!
No performance is complete until we all do our best!
